Security forces detained a native of Central Asia who was planning to commit a terrorist attack in one of the leisure centers in Pyatigorsk. This was announced on April 16 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

"The terrorist intended to commit a terrorist attack in one of the leisure centers. To this end, the attacker conducted a reconnaissance of the area, acquired weapons and components necessary for the manufacture of homemade incendiary mixtures," the report says.
