The technical reasons for the incident involving the relocation of more than 300 Russian tourists from a hotel in Hurghada, Egypt, have been eliminated. This was reported to Izvestia on April 16 by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

"The technical causes of the incident in Hurghada have been eliminated...> Some of the tourists wanted to stay at this hotel, while others were accommodated in other hotel facilities of the same class at the expense of tour operators," ATOR said.

They added that the specialists conducted a thorough check of the serviceability of the power supply systems and the uninterrupted operation of the services.

Earlier, reports appeared online that more than 300 tourists from Russia were urgently relocated from a hotel in Hurghada due to unsanitary conditions and lack of electricity.

The Consulate General of the Russian Federation denied the information about the emergency relocation. Russian Vice Consul Nikita Shilin said that when the Russians checked into the hotel, there were problems with electricity, and some of the tourists did not like the buffet food. After receiving complaints, everyone was given the opportunity to change their place of stay.
