Automaker AGR has patented the Almaas trademark in Russia

The AGR company, which manufactures Solaris and Tenet cars in Russia, has patented the Almaas trademark. The security documents were published in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) on April 16.

The trademark is registered according to the 12th class of the International Classification of Goods and services (ICTS), which includes cars, as well as spare parts and accessories for them. The copyright holder is AGR LLC with the Kaluga address of the company where Volkswagen cars were previously manufactured.

The Almaas logo is made in black and white style, it depicts a stylized image of a precious stone.

On February 20, it was announced that at the beginning of the second quarter of 2025, it is planned to begin mass production of cars of the new Russian brand Tenet at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga. The Chairmen of the Board of Directors of AGR Holding and Defetoo signed a technology partnership agreement.

Defetoo, a previously unknown company in Russia, became AGR's technological partner in the relaunch of the ex-Volkswagen plant near Kaluga. On April 7, Defetoo representatives stated that the company was not affiliated with the Chery Group.
