A Voronezh resident locked her three-year-old daughter in an apartment without food or water and left for several days. This was announced on April 16 by the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

It is specified that on April 11, the woman left the apartment for a long time, leaving the three-year-old child unattended. On the evening of April 14, the girl was able to open the window and call for help from passers-by, who called the police. The minor was taken to the hospital, and now her life and health are not in danger.

"The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Voronezh Region have opened a criminal case against a 20-year—old local resident on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of a minor")," the agency's Telegram channel says.

The suspect was detained, and the investigation applied to the court for her detention.
