The seventh BraVo Award ceremony took place at the Bolshoi Theatre

On April 15, one of the most long-awaited events of this year took place on the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi Theater: the BraVo Award ceremony. An event that brings together outstanding classical artists from all over the world.

Representatives from different countries come to the Bolshoi Theatre every year to perform on stage. The ceremony was preceded by an exclusive exhibition. A rare painting by Wassily Kandinsky, Twilight, was presented in the White Hall. Tunis" from the collection of the Tunisian collector of paintings by Kandinsky and Rubtsov, Medi Douss. The canvas was brought to life by artificial intelligence, which made it possible to see the stages of the creation of this work. An exhibition of imperial porcelain, brought back to his homeland by philanthropist and public figure Vladimir Golubev, awaited the guests of the award in the Imperial Foyer. These are the legendary "military" plates from the reign of Alexander I and Nicholas I.

"These masterpieces are not just works of art, but symbols of the power and valor of the Russian army, embodied in a fragile but eternal material," the philanthropist emphasized. "Every plate, every vase with battle scenes and military symbols glorified the exploits of Russian soldiers, reminding of the greatness of the Fatherland."

Vladimir Golubev also spoke about his desire to revive the tradition of creating military plates at the Imperial Factory, which will glorify the military exploits of Russia in the past and today. The exhibition was dedicated to the Year of Defender of the Fatherland announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The welcoming speech of the President opened the ceremony on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater.

"Your traditional event is rightfully considered an anticipated and truly festive event in the cultural life of the capital," Vladimir Putin emphasized in his address. – It is famous for its rich program, friendly, spiritual atmosphere, and brings together talented artists from Russia and other countries, including prominent representatives of musical, ballet, and opera art, on the legendary stage of the Bolshoi Theater. I am sure that tonight will be held on a high creative note and will be remembered by its participants and guests for a long time. And, of course, it will make a constructive contribution to strengthening international humanitarian ties."

The ceremony was hosted by Elena Sever and Vyacheslav Makarov.

This year's award was the culmination of Radio Monte Carlo's 25th anniversary celebrations. And the ceremony combined the classics and hits playing on the waves of the radio station. Lauretta's aria from Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini and The Dying Swan by Camille Saint-Saens co-starred with Moon River by Henry Mancini and Bring Back the Memory by Elena Sever. One of Antonio Vivaldi's legendary classical compositions "Summer" from the Four Seasons concert series was performed in a modern arrangement by three Bel Suono pianists. And one of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the theme of the soundtrack from the film "Schindler's List" performed by Imperial Orchestra soloist Vladimir Soluyanov, who appeared on the Historical Stage for the first time, and the Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra. Black and white photos of the war years appeared on stage to the sound of a violin.

By tradition, the BraVo Award brought together representatives from dozens of countries: from India to Serbia, from Japan to Belarus. The participants of the event spoke the warmest words to Russia.

The grand concert ended with a performance by all the award winners, who performed the legendary choral composition "Glory" from Mikhail Glinka's opera "Life for the Tsar", accompanied by the Bolshoi Theater Choir and the Sretensky Monastery Choir.
