The fire season has begun in St. Petersburg

The fire season has officially started in St. Petersburg. The corresponding decree was signed by the governor of the northern capital, Alexander Beglov.
According to the 78 TV channel, the number of wildfires may increase due to the burning of dry grass and debris, as well as bonfires. During the fire season, a number of restrictions are imposed on handling an open fire. If the air temperature rises in St. Petersburg, a special fire protection regime may be introduced.
Last week, the fire season started in the Khabarovsk Territory. The situation is related to the establishment of positive temperatures. Firefighters and rescuers monitor the situation in the forests from fixed points, using a satellite system, conduct patrols and aerial surveillance.
