- More than 20% of Russians said they wanted to delegate an interview to an AI

Among the Russians surveyed, 81.5% of respondents are ready to delegate stressful tasks to artificial intelligence (AI), and 22.7% expressed a desire to entrust him with conducting interviews for them. This is stated in the results of a study by HONOR on the impact of deepfakes on hiring processes and the labor market, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 17.
Experts have found that 1.1% of Russians create deepfakes themselves. At the same time, the spread of fake videos using artificial intelligence is alarming recruiters.
"The emergence of deepfake technologies and AI tools capable of mimicking a human in an interview seriously undermines the credibility of hiring results. A candidate can completely replace himself at the evaluation stage, turning digital recruiting channels from a convenience tool into a vulnerability zone. Standardized questions and sample cases are losing relevance — they are too easy to automate," said Daria Barkova, HR profiler and entrepreneur at the IT recruitment agency Unicorn Search.
She suggested that the future belongs to dynamic formats, where live interaction, the ability to adapt in real time and individual response to unusual conditions play a key role.
In turn, the head of external communications hh.ru In the regions, Anna Osipova clarified that so far cases of using deepfake technologies for online interviews are rare.
"As technology evolves, such risks can become quite significant, and companies should start thinking about countering them today. At a minimum, it is important to conduct a more thorough initial screening of the candidate, not to neglect the verification through the internal security service. During online interviews, it is worth paying attention to the quality and "naturalness" of the video, the manner of speech," she added.
Experts expressed the opinion that in the near future companies will be forced to change their recruitment methods, using new ways to verify the identity of candidates and the authenticity of videos during online interviews.
Earlier, on February 20, the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, reported that the use of deepfakes by scammers is growing in classical methods of social engineering. When attackers call people, they use AI-forged videos and audio to overcome the psychological barrier.
