"Rubio and Witkoff will travel to Paris for talks with their European counterparts in order to advance the goal of the President [of the United States Donald] Trump's plan to end the Ukrainian conflict," the press release says.

It is specified that in Paris, US representatives will discuss with European officials ways to promote common interests in the region.

Earlier in the day, Politico newspaper reported that Trump was furious with the European Union (EU) over the union's support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
