The prosecutor's office requested from the Moscow City Court from 23 to 25 years in a penal colony for members of the Taganskaya organized criminal group (OCG). This was announced on April 16 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

There are 10 members of the group in the dock: leader Igor Zhirnokleev, Oleg Rusanov, Boris Tretyak, Dmitry Yukhnevich, Igor Balashov, German Grishin, Gennady Lukyanov, Sergey Shcherbakov, Sergey Shchukarev, Marat Yanbukhtin. The late Grigory Rabinovich was also involved in the case.

The prosecutor asks to sentence Zhirnokleev to 25 years with a fine of 5 million rubles. The same terms and fines were requested for Rusanov and Tretyak, Yanbukhtin will have to pay 2 million rubles.

For the rest, they require from 23 to 24 years in prison with fines from 2 to 5 million rubles.

Depending on their role in the organized criminal group, the defendants were found guilty of creating and participating in an armed gang and criminal community, murder, kidnapping, theft, robbery, extortion and illegal arms trafficking.

The criminal case against 11 defendants was submitted to the Moscow City Court in 2021 for consideration on the merits. According to the Izvestia source, the cause of death of the defendant, known in criminal circles as Grisha Tagansky, could have been a heart attack.
