Two schoolgirls gave 780 thousand rubles to fraudsters in the Murmansk region

In the Murmansk region, two schoolgirls were injured as a result of fraud. The total damage amounted to 780 thousand rubles.

In Monchegorsk, a 17-year-old girl's phone was called by a conman who introduced himself as an employee of Rosfinmonitoring. He also sent the schoolgirl a photo of the alleged identity card of an employee of the organization. The fraudster convinced the minor that her father's personal account on the Gosuslugi portal had been hacked. The man insisted that the girl take the parent's phone and transfer the money to a "secure" account. The damage amounted to 280 thousand rubles, writes the Bi-port news agency.

In a similar way, scammers deceived a 13-year-old girl in Severomorsk. She transferred 500 thousand rubles from her mother's account.

A criminal case has been opened on each fact.

In the Lipetsk region, a 77-year-old pensioner lost 2.85 million rubles due to fraud. The scammers convinced the woman that she was allegedly a suspect in complicity in the commission of a particularly serious crime. The victim agreed to transfer the money to a "secure" account.
