Plans for renovation of apartment buildings have been approved in Moscow


Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has approved plans for the overhaul of apartment buildings in Moscow for 2025 and the near future. The overhaul programs and plans for their implementation were reviewed at a meeting of the Presidium of the government of the capital.
As noted in the message on the portal mos.ru "the list of works performed under the Moscow program has been expanded: in addition to major repairs and replacement of major structural elements and engineering systems, specialists additionally repair entrances, change internal drainage systems, smoke extraction and fire water supply, garbage chutes and windows in public areas."
During the meeting, Deputy Mayor for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping Pyotr Biryukov noted that from 2015 to 2024, the program carried out work in more than 14.5 thousand houses, in which almost 4 million Muscovites live. This year, it is planned to carry out work in another 2,428 houses.
The Moscow apartment building renovation program is designed for 30 years: its implementation began in 2015 and is scheduled to end in 2044. This is one of the largest housing modernization projects in the world. "The program includes about 30 thousand houses with a total area of more than 300 million square meters. m is 10% of all apartment buildings included in regional programs throughout Russia," the message on the capital's portal says. The main objectives of the overhaul program are formulated in the same place as "ensuring comfortable and safe living for Muscovites, saving resources, reducing the risk of emergency situations and increasing the aesthetic appeal of the appearance of residential buildings."
