Overchuk spoke about the expansion of the Russian sales market in Eurasia in 2025

The agreement on a free trade zone between Russia and Iran will open up new opportunities for expanding the market for Russian products. Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told Izvestia about this on April 16.
"In 2025, we are primarily waiting for the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran. <...> This is such a big event that we are expecting. In parallel, negotiations are underway with a number of Eurasian countries, which will also contribute to the expansion of the market for our products," Overchuk said.
In addition, he also noted that this event will be an important step in the growth of the product range in the domestic market of the country.
On January 24, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach announced that this year the free trade zone with Iran may begin operating on the basis of new rules that are significantly more beneficial for Russian exporters.
He specified that the association, which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, forms a free trade zone not only within itself, but also with other partner states. The Union has effective preferential trade agreements with Vietnam, Serbia and Iran.
