The lawyer spoke about the frequency of relocation of tourists from hotels in different countries.

Tourists in Egypt and other countries move to other vacation destinations due to unsanitary conditions or unavailability of the hotel in about 10-25% of cases. Lawyer Eduard Shalonosov told Izvestia about this on April 16.

Commenting on reports of the relocation of 300 Russian citizens from a hotel in Hurghada, Egypt, he pointed out that the construction of most hotels has not been completed — they are constantly being renovated. According to the lawyer, most of the vacation spots in the country are not ready to receive guests.

"The country of Egypt is, in principle, a poor country, and it lives by slightly different economic canons. And it's normal for her not to have eight hours of electricity and so on," Shalonosov said.

The lawyer also explained how not to get into a similar situation. According to him, first the tourist should go to the maps and check the information about the hotel. The tour operator should check whether the building is undergoing renovation work, whether there is electricity and hot water.Talking to your loved ones can also help — they may have been to vacation spots before, where the person is planning to go.

If the tourist has nevertheless moved to another hotel, then it is necessary to secure the move with a statement, ask the tour operator to recalculate the cost of the rest and refund the money. In case of non-fulfillment of the last point, it is necessary to apply to the court.

Earlier, information appeared on the Network that more than 300 tourists from Russia were urgently relocated from a hotel in Hurghada due to unsanitary conditions and lack of electricity. However, the Vice Consul of the Russian Federation in Egypt denied the information about the emergency nature of the move, noting that after receiving complaints, everyone was given the opportunity to change their place of stay.
