- Overchuk pointed out the work of Russian marketplaces in almost all markets of neighboring countries

Russian marketplaces operate in almost all neighboring countries. This was announced on April 16 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk after a speech at the government hour in the Federation Council.
"Today, our electronic trading platforms are actively present in almost all markets of our closest neighbors and are actively developing there, including building warehouses and developing their infrastructure," he said, adding that the Russian Federation has a wide range of technologies.
In addition, according to Overchuk, Russia invests a lot in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. According to him, the Russian manufacturing sector is growing in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including high-tech industries related to large chemicals and energy.
In March, Overchuk reported that the gross domestic product (GDP) of the EAEU grew by 4.2% last year, while the European Union increased by only 0.8%. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the EAEU's GDP growth became possible due to the transition to uniform mandatory requirements for goods, the elimination of annual customs control for the period 2015-2023. He also added that mutual trade was on average 24% higher due to the actions taken.
