Russians began to spend more money on cottage goods

Since the beginning of the year, Russians have increased spending on gardening and garden supplies by 17%. At the same time, the number of purchases of such goods increased by 18%, and the average receipt remained virtually unchanged at 601 rubles. This follows from the data of the Post Bank, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 17.
Experts attributed the overall increase in spending to seasonal demand for garden and vegetable garden supplies, tree and shrub seedlings, potted plants, flower seeds and bulbs, as well as fertilizers and pesticides. In addition, Russians are spending more and more time in the country, which has led to an increase in the cost of related products.
At the same time, analysts drew attention to the fact that the number of domestic producers with optimal prices for crop and seed production has increased in the market.
"At the same time, about 76% of such purchases are made by women. However, the average bill of the fair sex is 39% lower than that of men. Postbank experts explain this by the fact that women are more likely to choose inexpensive products, for example, certain varieties of plants and flowers. At the same time, men mostly buy more expensive gardening equipment and tools," the credit institution added.
Earlier, on April 8, it was reported that among the surveyed residents of Russia, 45% own a cottage or a plot of land. Another 12% plan to rent a cottage or a house for the summer season, and 17% want to buy such a property. This is stated in the results of the Yandex Advertising survey.
