Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on April 16 that a wide range of issues, including the situation in Ukraine, would be discussed during the upcoming visit of Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Russia.

"Of course, an exchange of views between Putin and the Emir of Qatar, an exchange of views on Ukrainian affairs will be mandatory. There will also be an exchange of views on regional affairs," Peskov said at a briefing.

According to the Kremlin's representative, Qatar plays a significant role in the settlement of international crises.
