At least 100 people died in ferry crash in DRC

At least one hundred people have been killed in the crash of a passenger ferry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This was announced on April 16 by the 7SUR7 portal.
They noted that the incident occurred on the Congo River, near the city of Mbandaka. According to the newspaper, the cause of the shipwreck was a fire, but it is still unknown why the fire occurred.
"A fire broke out on a ferry in Mbandaka. One hundred people have already died. Apparently, the final outcome will be much sadder," said political activist Joseph Locondo.
In January, the media reported that four people had died and seven were missing in a shipwreck in Chile. At the time of the incident, there were about 32 passengers on board.
