Overchuk noted the enormous export potential of the new regions of the Russian Federation

The new Russian regions have enormous export potential. This was announced on April 16 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.

"These territories have enormous potential, enormous export potential," he said during a speech at the Federation Council.

According to him, the territories of the new regions are also areas with actively developed agricultural production and economy. Overchuk noted that the Russian Federation supports the promotion of regions in foreign markets.

Sergey Aksyonov, the head of the region, spoke about cooperation with the new territories of the Russian Federation, international contacts in the era of sanctions and the fulfillment of presidential instructions.

The head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin, during a working meeting with Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko on January 28, named priority areas of work in the new regions of Russia. According to him, special attention is paid to the integrated development and formation of the common economic space of the Azov region.

The head of the DPR also noted that, among other things, work is planned to reduce the shortage of qualified personnel, restore housing and infrastructure, develop metallurgy and mechanical engineering, implement investment projects in the coal industry, as well as develop tourism and agriculture.
