Sobyanin expressed his condolences to the family of Major General Ivan Sluchai

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin expressed his condolences over the death of Major General Ivan Sluchai, Chairman of the Moscow Committee of War Veterans.

Sobyanin recalled both his front-line exploits and his work in peacetime. In addition, the mayor noted the role of Sluchai in the development of the veteran movement in the capital and appreciated his contribution to the preservation of historical memory and patriotic education of young people.

"100 years of Ivan Andreevich's life have included an entire era in which there was noble teaching, fiery front—line roads, and many years of impeccable service in the country's Armed Forces," Sobyanin stressed.
