Every year, the Moscow Department of Culture, the Moscow Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events organize a festive program in honor of the main Orthodox holiday – the Resurrection of Christ. In 2025, the Easter Gift festival in the temple territories will be held from April 20 to 27.

The grand opening is planned at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Sviblovo on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Every year, young artists from Moscow art schools participate in the grand opening of the Easter Gift Festival, painting two-meter–high Easter egg models. Every year, the curators of the festival invite artists to unleash their artistic talent by creating works in the open air on a pre-determined theme. 2025 has been named the year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in Russia, so this year participants are invited to reflect on the topic "Patron Saints of the Russian Army."

Students of Moscow art schools will form teams and paint fifteen Easter eggs. By creating their artwork, the contestants will be able to refer to the images of saints, as well as show through symbols the importance of historical memory and appreciation to those who defended and continue to courageously defend their native country.

A professional jury will evaluate the works, award nominations and select the best of the best. The culmination of the opening ceremony will be the awarding of the artists who have most fully revealed the theme of the painting and performed the work at the highest level. The painted art objects will be displayed in the open air for two weeks.

Thematic workshops will be organized for parishioners and guests of the holiday, where everyone will be able to make a memorable souvenir under the strict guidance of the craftsmen. At the festival, you can try yourself as a bell ringer and coiner, take part in unifying family games and enjoy a festive concert: famous artists and bands will perform on stage, performing compositions filled with folklore motifs. The audience will also enjoy themed theatrical performances.

For the first time in the Easter Gift festival, guests are invited to take part in traditional Easter games – tug of war, rolling Easter eggs down a slide, ring tossing and other games that were popular in Russia in the past centuries.

Sightseeing tours of the museums of the Sviblovo estate will be held on the territory. Everyone will be able to get acquainted with the history of the estate, visit the Bell Museum, which is famous for its unique collection of small church bells of the 17th — 21st centuries, and the Shroud Museum, where guests can see artifacts dating back to the time of the crucifixion of Christ, a collection of crosses from different regions, church books and documents.

Admission to all events of the Easter Gift festival at the temples is free.
