Five new eruptions of Semeru volcano have been recorded in Indonesia.

Five new eruptions of the Semeru volcano occurred in the province of East Java in Indonesia. This was reported on April 16 by the Antara news agency, citing data from the observation post.
According to experts, the column of volcanic ash rose to a height of 1 thousand m above the crater, reaching 4,676 m above sea level. The ash cloud is spreading with high intensity in the north and northeast directions.
Indonesia's Center for Volcanology and Mitigation of Geological Disasters has urged locals and tourists to remain cautious and not approach the crater at a distance of less than 13 km "due to the risk of red-hot rock emissions."
On April 8, the Kanlaon volcano, located on the central Philippine island of Negros, during an eruption spewed a column of ash and smoke to a height of approximately 4 km. It is specified that the explosive eruption began on April 8 at 5:51 local time (00:51 Moscow time).
