Oleg Lukyanov, an artist from St. Petersburg who participated in the creation of Viktor Tsoi's wall in the city, suggested on April 16 in an interview with Izvestia that fans of rapper Pasha Technik, who painted over the portrait of the Soviet rocker, decided to declare themselves in this way.

"I think a story with such a display of fans' feelings is not entirely appropriate. Surely there are places that could be immortalized and make the same history as with the Tsoi wall, well, let there be a wall of our Technique," Lukyanov said.

According to the artist, Pasha the Technician was very sensitive to the work of Viktor Tsoi and "was his fan."

"This is also, I think, the cry of the fans to be heard, and they demand the same treatment as a Tsoi fan, so that they are recognized that they also have love," Lukyanov concluded.

Earlier that day, it was reported that in St. Petersburg, fans pasted rapper Pasha the Technician over the image of rock musician Viktor Tsoi. Fans obscured the graffiti with a sticker with a Technician in a monkey mask.
