An Israeli Air Force fighter jet dropped ammunition into Israeli territory during a combat flight due to a malfunction. This was announced on Wednesday, April 16, by the press service of the IDF.
"Some time ago, ammunition dropped from a fighter jet during an attack on the Gaza Strip, as a result of a technical malfunction, fell in an open area in the area of Nir Yitzhak," TASS quoted the message as saying.
The military added that no one was injured in the incident. An investigation is underway into the incident.
The IDF resumed military operations against Hamas in Gaza on March 18. The press service of the Gaza Ministry of Health reported on March 28 that more than 890 people have been killed and over 1,980 injured in Israeli attacks since then.
