The Chinese Embassy in Argentina has accused the United States of trying to interfere with China's relations with other countries because of the rhetoric of U.S. Secretary Scott Bessant during an official visit. The corresponding statement was published on the website of the diplomatic agency on April 15.

"During his visit to Argentina on the 14th, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessant maliciously slandered and defamed China's normal cooperation with other countries. The Chinese Embassy in Argentina is extremely unhappy and strongly opposes this," the statement said.

It is clarified that the dissatisfaction was caused by Bessent's statements about "predatory agreements" and "debt traps" allegedly imposed by the Chinese authorities.

"China has always carried out practical cooperation with Argentina in various fields, including currency swaps, based on mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and mutual benefit," the embassy said.

On April 15, US President Donald Trump criticized the ban imposed by the Chinese government on the country's airlines for the purchase of aircraft from the American Boeing corporation. The American leader also stressed that "whenever trade negotiations or, in this case, a trade war begin, farmers are always on the front line with opponents such as China," and promised to protect their interests.
