Some decisions and regulations in the field of road infrastructure should be brought to common sense. The corresponding instruction was given by Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 15 at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council on the development of infrastructure for life.

"In general, of course, all the important issues are to enforce some decisions in accordance with the law or cancel them altogether, I agree. The road network is nonsense, of course, to be honest, I didn't even pay attention to the fact that bumpers should be placed in the middle of the streets and so on. And some kind of noise-absorbing shields. We need to bring this all in line with common sense, of course," he is quoted as saying on the Kremlin's website.

The Russian leader added that the executive branch in the country should feel the expectations of citizens.

On April 15, Putin instructed Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to personally monitor the development of infrastructure for life. In addition, the head of state instructed to prepare a list of instructions related to the development of infrastructure in Russia and promptly begin their execution.

Earlier in the day, Putin said that the pace of road repairs in Russia should not be reduced. The President stressed that today more than half of the regional roads and 85% of the road network in 105 urban agglomerations are in good condition.
