Experts have calculated the expenditures of Russians on preparation for Easter

Russians spend an average of 499 rubles on the minimum set for preparation for Easter, experts of the analytical center "Chek Index" of the company "Platform OFD" (the country's largest fiscal data operator) told "Izvestia".

The most noticeable year-on-year rise in the price of cottage cheese, the experts noted, while eggs, on the contrary, fell in price by an average of 4%.

"If we take into account as a minimum Easter set ready-made kulich, a dozen eggs and a set of dyes, the cost will be 499 rubles, which is 8% higher than last year's level. If added to the set of cottage cheese Easter, the set will cost Br1.1 thousand, 10% above the level of last year," - said in the "Check Index".

Products for the Easter holiday are mainly purchased in traditional offline stores. However, Russians spend 1.8-1.9 times more on online platforms to prepare for Easter. For example, the kulich is purchased there for an average of 922 rubles, which is 3.6 times more expensive than offline.
