About 42% of utility networks in Russia need to be replaced

About 42% of utility networks in Russia need to be replaced or renewed. Over the next six years, it is planned to replace more than 50 thousand kilometers of more than 950 thousand kilometers of water supply, sewage and heat supply pipes. The annual renewal rate will reach 2.5%, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing Alexei Yeresko told Izvestia in an interview.

According to MPs, today almost 80 billion is missing for these purposes — will the initiative help solve the problem?

About 4.5 trillion rubles from all sources - federal and regional budgets, as well as investment programs of resource supplying organizations - will be allocated for these purposes, the deputy minister stressed.

In addition, by the end of 2030 with the participation of federal funds it is planned to resettle about 300 thousand people from emergency housing. And for the maintenance of houses abandoned by management companies, will create guaranteeing MCs.
