A second criminal case has been opened against a mother with many children from the Leningrad Region, who evicted her children to a sauna for wrongdoing. This was announced on Tuesday, April 15, by the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"The investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region has opened a criminal case against a woman under Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to fulfill duties to raise a minor." — Ed.)," the ministry said in a statement.

Prior to this, there was information about the prosecutor's office of the Leningrad region conducting an inspection against a resident of the suburban village of Khimik-2. According to the prosecutor's office, the children were placed in the pediatric department of the Kirov interdistrict hospital.

Earlier that day, it was reported that in the Leningrad region, a mother resettled her three sons, aged seven to 11, in a bathhouse for offenses. According to the Izvestia source, the woman and her roommate are abusing alcohol. In addition, in 2023, the mother was convicted under Article 228 ("Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture, processing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues") for a period of five years with a delay for the same period.
