Russia is actively working to create a comfortable environment for living in the regions. This was announced on April 15 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at an expanded meeting of the Presidium of the State Council for the Development of Infrastructure for Life.

"The implementation of the National Infrastructure for Life project is on our agenda. We are talking about the further development and improvement of the vast expanse of our country, the creation of a modern, comfortable, safe and convenient environment in all regions and municipalities," Putin stressed.

He noted the importance of solving housing and communal problems, developing the transport system and ensuring the availability of social services. The President stressed that the construction sector has been developing very actively in recent years, and its vast potential will make it possible to work on major tasks.

Putin added that it is planned to build 1.3 billion square meters by 2036. m housing. Of these, 663 million square meters. The apartments are expected to be completed by 2030, which will allow an average of 33 square meters per person to be provided with housing.

The President stressed the importance of supporting stronghold settlements, where two thirds of Russian citizens live. They are designed to strengthen Russia's economic and infrastructural framework.

Earlier in the day, Putin instructed to "de-bureaucratize" the housing construction industry as much as possible so as not to slow down its pace. The Head of State noted that it is important to create conditions for the construction industry to continue to develop in modern conditions of financial constraints.

During the meeting, the president also urged not to slow down the pace of road repairs in Russia. According to Putin, today more than half of the regional roads and 85% of the road network in 105 urban agglomerations are in good condition.
