In order to invest and save money, it is better for Russians to keep their money in rubles in the short term, and in the future, buying cash currency will be an effective way for four to five years. Nikolai Kulbaka, an economist, Candidate of economic Sciences, associate professor at the RANEPA, and analyst, reported this on Tuesday, April 15.

"You see, there is no universal remedy that allows people to save their savings. Firstly, it very much depends on when you are going to use them: in five, 10 years, next year. Depending on this, it is necessary to choose a strategy," the expert said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The economist also predicted the volatility of the dollar and the euro. According to him, the currency will be in a fever, as everything depends on what further actions US President Donald Trump will take.

"Since they are completely unpredictable, it is very difficult to say that it is possible to predict the exchange rate of the dollar or any other currency," he said.

Speaking about investing in real estate, he noted that there is practically no point in this, because it will be very difficult to return the invested funds.

In addition, he stressed that it is better for a non-specialist not to invest in securities and stocks: this way of earning money should only be done professionally.

Earlier in the day, Bloomberg reported that the Russian ruble has strengthened against the dollar more strongly than other currencies this year and has shown growth, NSN reports.

Since the beginning of the year, the ruble has strengthened by 38% against the dollar in the over-the-counter market, RT reports. It is noted that the ruble is not under pressure from the outflow of capital, which was caused by the departure of investors. The US policy towards Russia, on the contrary, has made the ruble more attractive to investors, according to the website. kp.ru .
