- Naryshkin and Lukashenko discussed problems of the international situation at the meeting in Minsk

Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), and Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, discussed topical issues of the current regional and international situation at a meeting in Minsk. This was announced by the SVR press office on April 15.
"The collective West, including the most hostile NATO and EU countries separately, continues to have a negative impact on Russia and Belarus, using the Ukrainian crisis as a factor in attempts to destabilize the situation in the Union State (SG)," the SVR stressed.
During the meeting, issues related to the activities of Western intelligence agencies were discussed. According to the SVR, they use a wide range of opportunities to destabilize the situation in the SG space.
The Foreign Intelligence Service reported that Russia and Belarus intend to combine the potential of the SVR of the Russian Federation and the State Security Committee (KGB) of Belarus to counter the destabilization of the situation on the territory of the two countries.
Earlier in the day, Naryshkin announced the strengthening of NATO positions on the border with Kaliningrad. The head of the SVR noted the growing aggression on the part of the member states of the military bloc towards Russia and Belarus.
On April 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the joint actions of Russia and Belarus ensure the strengthening of the defense potential and reliable security of the Union State. According to him, both countries defend legitimate foreign policy interests and work with foreign partners to form a multipolar world order.
