The VK Board collaboration service has improved the functionality for working with a virtual workspace. This was reported to Izvestia on VK on April 16.

They clarified that users can work with the updated editor of tables and shapes, new templates, as well as advanced privacy settings. At the same time, the service's performance tripled due to an increase in the board's performance for scenarios with a large number of objects.

"The table editor now allows you to fill cells with color, add and format text, and move columns and rows. Advanced privacy settings and the ability to share viewing rights only will help to avoid unwanted edits and preserve the integrity of projects. A new viewing mode in the presentation format has become available to users to demonstrate ideas," VK noted.

The work with graphic elements in the form of arrows has changed: users can now change their bend and attach text to them. At the same time, the service can use an updated list of templates for effective work with ideas and projects, including SWOT analysis, Canvas business models, prioritization of tasks, organization structure building, timeline, Agile Roadmap, Gantt chart, CJM and traditional tic-tac-toe.

The launch of the Russian collaboration service, replacing Miro, was announced on August 19, 2024. Users have access to a virtual interactive space where they can create scalable "smart" whiteboards with stickers and shapes.
