The Russian ruble has strengthened against the dollar more strongly than other currencies this year and has shown growth. This was reported by Bloomberg on April 15.

Since the beginning of the year, the ruble has strengthened by 38% against the dollar in the over-the-counter market. As the newspaper notes, the Russian currency received support due to internal factors.

"Exporters are required to sell part of their foreign exchange earnings on the local market, which further contributes to the strengthening of the ruble," Bloomberg reports.

According to the agency, the ruble is not under pressure from the outflow of capital, which was caused by the departure of investors. The US policy towards Russia, on the contrary, has made the ruble more attractive to investors.

On April 8, the Central Bank of Russia announced the strengthening of the ruble in March due to a good trade balance and demand for ruble assets, as well as the fall of the US dollar in the global market.
