In the coming days, the wind is expected to increase in the Trans-Baikal Territory. At the same time, snow will fall in some areas.

According to forecasts, the air temperature at night may drop to -3...-8 degrees, during the daytime it will warm up to +10 ... +15 degrees. The wind speed will be 15-20 m/s. This is reported by the ChitaMedia news agency. Rain will fall in Chita, snow is possible in some areas of Transbaikalia.

The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations asks residents of the region to observe safety rules and not to burn dry grass and garbage. Increased wind can cause the fire to spread over large areas. According to the governor of Transbaikalia, Alexander Osipov, there are almost 100 large forest fires in the region.

According to the Federal Forestry Agency, the most difficult situation regarding forest fires is in Buryatia, the Jewish Autonomous Region and Transbaikalia. The total area of forest fires in the country is 75.8 thousand hectares.
