A man who played the role of a criminal courier in a fraudulent scheme to steal 4 million rubles from a People's Artist of the Russian Federation was sentenced to four years in a penal colony. This was announced on April 15 by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office.

It is specified that the defendant was convicted of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud"). He will serve his sentence in a penal colony.

"The convict testified that such criminal earnings were offered to him by an acquaintance who paid for his journey from Novosibirsk to Moscow, informing him that he would receive instructions in the messenger that he would have to follow for a monetary reward," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to the source of Izvestia, we are talking about People's Artist of the Russian Federation and USSR State Prize laureate Raisa Ryazanova.

The incident became known on December 7 last year. The attackers called Ryazanova and introduced themselves as FSB officers, after which they convinced her to withdraw money from her account and hand it over to a courier, ostensibly for safekeeping. The amount of damage amounted to 4 million rubles.
