Almost two thirds of the surveyed specialists in Russia (63%) expressed the opinion that artificial intelligence (AI) does not pose a threat to their careers, since it will take many more years for the full development of neural networks. This is stated in the results of a survey conducted by the consulting company get experts, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 16.

Only 2% said that AI is already threatening their careers, while the rest are confident that it will happen in three to five years. (6%), 6-10 (9%) or more than 10 years later (11%).

Only 21% of the surveyed specialists reported using artificial intelligence in their work. The five most frequent areas of its application are information search (51%), content creation (45%), routine actions (41%), working with large amounts of data, analysis and forecasting (27%) and document processing (25%).

Experts also found out that in 2024, 57% of the companies whose representatives participated in the survey were engaged in business process automation. 22% did not study and do not plan to do so in 2025, 17% did not study, but they plan to. Among the most frequently mentioned activities in terms of digitalization and automation are the introduction of electronic document management (55%), strengthening measures to protect data and IT infrastructure from cyber attacks (31%), automation and optimization of logistics (27%) and HR processes (26%), the use of cloud services (26%), automation of marketing activities and advertising campaigns (24%).

One way or another, 59% of employers used artificial intelligence in their work in 2024.

"With the introduction of AI, traditional roles are beginning to transform. Employers will require employees to be able to work with new technologies, manage AI tools, and understand their results. The importance of soft skills (communication, creativity, emotional intelligence) will also increase even more, since AI can perform tasks related to information processing and logic better than humans," said Anna Spirina, Marketing and Communications Director at get experts consulting company.

In her opinion, a number of professions will change under the influence of AI, others may simply disappear. At the same time, she believes that the use of artificial intelligence opens up opportunities for creating new professions.: The roles of AI development specialists, model training, ethics in AI, and data management are emerging.

"This stimulates the labor market to create new jobs related to the support and development of AI infrastructure. However, it is important to understand that for now AI remains a tool that complements human labor, rather than completely replacing it. Companies are aware of the need to work in parallel to improve the skills of their employees and attract new specialists with competencies in the field of digital technologies. Thus, the key challenge for the labor market is not only the introduction of AI, but also the creation of conditions for the harmonious coexistence of humans and technology," she concluded.

Earlier, on March 6, it was reported that the majority of creative specialists surveyed actively use neural networks in their work. At the same time, 43% of respondents use them on a regular basis, according to the results of a study by the Moscow Creative Industries Agency and MTS AI.
