FAS conducts unscheduled anti-cartel inspections of pharmaceutical companies

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) is conducting unscheduled anti-cartel inspections of pharmaceutical companies, the service said on April 15.
"The purchases were carried out for the needs of the Federal State Institution "Federal Center for Planning and Organization of Drug Provision for Citizens" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The companies JSC "Protek Implementation Center", JSC "Pharmstandard", LLC "Primafarm" are suspected of entering into a cartel agreement when participating in tenders for the supply of medicines," the FAS explained.
Employees of the department have started checking offices in Moscow and the Moscow region. As part of these activities, information of interest to the regulator is being collected.
The final conclusions will be made upon completion of the checks and analysis of the collected data.
Earlier, on March 28, the Federal Antimonopoly Service announced a reduction in the price of four vital medicines. It was reported that among them are medicines for the treatment of respiratory tract diseases, lymphoma, breast cancer, tachycardia and hypertension.
