The sauna complex of entrepreneur Portnyagin Siberia began to be demolished

The Siberia sauna complex on Obraztsova Street in Moscow, owned by businessman Dmitry Portnyagin, began to be demolished. The frames of the work are published by Izvestia on April 15.

Workers have already begun to disassemble the roof of the complex building piece by piece. The footage shows that some items are being loaded into a truck for further removal.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Moscow Region reported that on February 27, 2022, Portnyagin's wife, through intermediaries, handed over a bribe to the deputy head of the construction department of the Prefecture of the Northeastern Administrative District of Moscow in the amount of 300 thousand rubles for failing to fulfill his official duties to demolish an unauthorized building located on Obraztsova Street.

Portnyagin is charged under clause "b" of Part 4 of Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Legalization of criminally acquired funds by other persons"). On April 7, the court extended the ban on certain actions of the entrepreneur for six months.

On April 12, 2024, Portnyagin was detained in Rostov-on-Don in a tax evasion case. Prior to that, searches and investigative measures were carried out in the premises of the Club 500 business club and the Siberia bath complex owned by the entrepreneur. Later, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia reported that the damage in the businessman's case had been fully compensated.

According to the investigation, Portnyagin evaded paying taxes in excess of 124 million rubles from 2018 to 2020. Later, he carried out financial transactions with criminally obtained money, transferring more than 91 million rubles to the accounts of third legal entities. His wife Ekaterina is being investigated as a suspect in a criminal case. The investigation believes that the spouses carried out financial transactions with funds that were obtained by criminal means.
