The Palestinian Hamas movement is studying Israel's proposal for a 45-day cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. This was reported on April 15 by CNN, citing a representative of the movement.

According to the source, as part of the initiative, Israel is offering a temporary truce with the possibility of releasing ten hostages in exchange for several hundred Palestinian prisoners.

According to the TV channel, the plan does not contain guarantees for ending the conflict on a permanent basis, which was previously a key condition for Hamas in the framework of the comprehensive agreement. For this reason, the probability of acceptance of the offer is "assessed as low."

On March 18, the Israel Defense Forces announced the resumption of military operations against the Palestinian Hamas movement in Gaza. As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, more than 1,000 people were injured, and the death toll increased to 310.

The media also said that Israel had warned the administration of US President Donald Trump in advance about the resumption of attacks on Gaza.
