Zakharova called on the UN to stop discrediting Russia


Russia, in connection with the statement by the United Nations secretariat on the attacks on Sumy, calls on UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to stop discrediting Russia. This was announced on April 15 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
It is specified that Guterres on April 14 on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter) condemned the Russian army's strike on an object with a cluster of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) In Sumy, he called for a truce.
"We call on Antonio Guterres and the UN Secretariat headed by him to take an honest position, not to allow biased comments on events in the context of the Ukrainian crisis, to stop discrediting our country and hiding the crimes of the Kiev regime," she said on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to Zakharova, the UN Secretary General covers Kiev's blatant disregard for the principles of self-determination of peoples and respect for human rights.
On April 14, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian military personnel had launched two Iskander missiles at the venue of a meeting of the Armed Forces command. As a result of this combat mission, over 60 military personnel were eliminated. It is specified that the strike was carried out on April 13.
