Naryshkin announced the strengthening of NATO positions on the border with Kaliningrad

NATO countries are strengthening their military positions on the border with the Kaliningrad region. This was announced on April 15 by Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).

"In addition, we see an increase in the military preparations of the NATO countries, including the strengthening of their positions on the borders with the Republic of Belarus, with Russia, with the Kaliningrad region of Russia," he told the Belarusian TV channel First Information, a video fragment with commentary posted on the Telegram channel.

The head of the SVR announced the growing aggression on the part of the NATO member states towards Russia and Belarus. He stressed that these actions manifest themselves in various forms, but the hidden methods used by the special services of these countries are especially noticeable.

Western allies may try to strengthen Kiev's position with the help of mercenaries.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on March 6 that he would invite European countries to consider increasing NATO's military presence on the borders with Russia and Belarus. According to him, the protection of the eastern borders of the European Union has become an indisputable priority for the organization.
