A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Ministry of Defense reported that units of the North group of forces in the Belgorod direction defeated concentrations of manpower and equipment of four mechanized brigades, a coastal defense brigade, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and a defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Miropolskoye, Malaya Rybitsa, Petrushevka, Krasnopolye and Yamnoye in the Sumy region.

The enemy's losses in this area amounted to up to 90 military personnel, two ammunition depots and a warehouse of material assets were also destroyed.

In addition, Russian air defense systems destroyed four JDAM guided aerial bombs and five HIMARS multiple launch rocket launchers (MLRS) manufactured in the United States, as well as 304 aircraft-type UAVs.

The management of troops and the performance of combat missions depend on the reliability of communication systems.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 661 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 51,866 UAVs, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,846 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,536 multiple rocket launchers, 23,667 field artillery and mortars, 34,127 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
