On April 15, Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), shared his opinion on the necessary conditions for achieving a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.

He stressed that Moscow's strategic goals remain unchanged after the completion of the special military operation.

"The terms of the peace agreement provide, of course, for the nuclear—weapon-free, neutral status of Ukraine, the demilitarization and denazification of the Ukrainian state, and the repeal of all discriminatory laws that were adopted after the 2014 coup," Naryshkin told reporters.

The director of the SVR also stated that Ukraine does not show any desire for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. In his opinion, only in the current conditions can the Ukrainian authorities maintain their positions and avoid responsibility for their criminal decisions before the people.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 11 that Russia sees that the United States wants to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, unlike Europe. According to him, the American side is trying to "get to the bottom of the problem."

On April 2, Alexei Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, told Izvestia that Russia is the most interested party in the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, there are attempts to resist this process from a number of European countries.
