One person died as a result of a fire in an apartment in the Losinostrovsky district of the capital. The Moscow City News agency reported this on Tuesday, April 15.

The fire of personal belongings and furniture on an area of 5 square meters occurred in a one-room apartment on the second floor of a house on Norilskaya Street.

"With the measures taken, rescuers pulled an elderly man out of the apartment, but the paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim dead," the agency's source said.

By now, the fire has been extinguished.
