Among the brands of motorboats on the secondary market in Russia in March this year, Yamaha became the most popular, and BRP Sea—Doo became the most popular among jet skis. This was reported to Izvestia on March 15 by Avito Avto experts, who studied the dynamics of water transport supply and interest in it from platform users in 2024-2025.

So, in the segment of motorboats, the most popular brands are Yamaha (11.9% share), Hangkai (6.4%), Tohatsu (6.3%), Suzuki (5.6%) and Mercury (4.9%), and in the category of jet skis — BRP Sea-Doo (68.1%), Yamaha (19.5%), Kawasaki (5.8%), Jet Motor (1.3%) and Polaris (1%).

The increase in demand for water transport begins with the arrival of spring. In March 2025, interest in yachts and speedboats increased by 12.3% compared to February, experts estimate. Interest in motorboats increased by 32.2%, and in jet skis — by 2.1 times. The number of ads is also starting to grow with the arrival of spring, but the dynamics are less pronounced.

The market reaches its peak values in the summer. The volume of offers with different types of water equipment per season increases 1.5–2 times relative to the minimum values that are fixed in winter. The maximum user interest is reached in July, analysts said.
