- The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the inaction of the OSCE on the problem of radicalization in Europe

Russia draws attention to the inaction of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on the issue of radicalization of European society. This was stated on April 15 by Vladislav Maslennikov, Director of the Department of Pan-European Cooperation of the Russian Foreign Ministry, at a discussion of the Valdai Club.
According to him, manifestations of intolerance, xenophobia, racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia are growing in the European Union (EU) countries.
"The members of the European Union themselves have to admit that every second Muslim in the EU faces discrimination in their daily lives," Maslennikov said.
He stressed that neither the OSCE/ODIHR nor the countries of the "collective West" are willing to seriously address these issues.
"For a significant period of time, since the beginning of the special military operation, the relevant OSCE institutions have been ignoring these issues in Europe," Maslennikov concluded.
Earlier, on April 11, Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, said that Russia today is waging a difficult struggle against the Nazi ideology emanating from Europe. He noted the similarity of the current situation with the period of the Great Patriotic War 80 years ago.
