Residents of Kursk told the details of the shelling of the city by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The footage is published by Izvestia on April 15.

According to the townspeople, they were asleep at the time of the Ukrainian shelling.

"I only remember that I went to bed late. I remember something falling on me and falling like sand. And I can already hear my son shouting: "Mom, are you alive?". I tell him, "Yes, I'm alive," said local resident Valentina Leonidovna.

She added that as a result of the shelling, her son was injured and was hospitalized in a regional hospital.

Another woman noted that the shelling began around 01:40, after which there was a crash. She went out onto the landing and saw the broken windows.

A massive attack by Ukrainian drones in the Kursk region became known in the early morning of April 15. As a result of the strikes, several houses caught fire. An 85-year-old woman was also killed, and nine civilians were injured. The fire damaged two multi-storey buildings and three private households. One of the shells hit the ambulance garage, as a result, 11 official vehicles were damaged.

A criminal case on a terrorist act was opened on the fact of a massive attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on residential buildings in Kursk (paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
