The German sports car manufacturer Isdera AG, which was founded in 1982 and produced small-scale cars, has filed for bankruptcy. This is reported by the Bild newspaper.

The Isdera brand was founded by Porsche engineer Ebert Schultz. In Russia, cars of this brand were known for their Turbo gum inserts, in particular, with images of the exotic Isdera Imperator 108i, which debuted in 1984 at the Geneva Motor Show. It was designed based on the 1978 Mercedes-Benz CW311 concept car, which Schultz built in his spare time at Porsche.

The most famous Isdera models besides the Imperator 108i are the Commendatore 112i (1993) and the Commendatore GT (2018). They were equipped with modified Mercedes-Benz engines and were built on original platforms. In 2021, Chinese media reported that the Isdera brand was acquired by the Chinese company Xinghui Automotive Group, and in 2024 the brand acquired new centers for the development and production of cars in China.

Currently, Schultz's sports cars are valued by collectors because of their rarity. For example, in 2021, the Commendatore 112i was sold at auction for €1.2 million.

The day before, it was reported that the Chinese company Hongqi introduced a new version of the H5 business sedan in China. In the hybrid version of the PHEV, it is capable of driving up to 1.6 thousand km without stopping.
