The Russian Ministry of Agriculture expects to start supplying beef to the Indonesian market. Maxim Borovoy, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, told reporters on April 15.

"An increase in the supply of livestock products. Basically, the opening of a meat market. First of all, beef. <...> Judging by the information that colleagues have given, everything is quite productive," TASS quoted him as saying.

He expressed the hope that the market would open up and the Russian Federation would be able to start supplies.

Borovoy stressed that Moscow is ready to meet the demand for products in the country, but noted that there is high competition in the Indonesian market. According to him, against this background, "colleagues will have to work with their partners."

On the eve of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that by the end of 2025 it is expected to sign an agreement on a free trade area (FTA) between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Indonesia. He also noted the willingness to form a new cooperative beginning. According to him, the cooperation will affect such basic areas as energy, the supply and processing of petroleum products, LNG, cooperation in the field of coal and aluminum, as well as other forms of cooperation.
