As a result of a massive drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Kursk, 24 apartment buildings were damaged. Alexander Khinshtein, Acting Governor of the Kursk Region, announced this on April 15.

"24 residential buildings (apartment buildings — Ed.) were damaged, three of them are quite serious. Experts are working, they will assess the possibility of restoring houses until the evening," he said in a video message on the Telegram channel.

The governor added that the victims of the Ukrainian Armed Forces night attack in Kursk will receive the necessary assistance and payments. People will be accommodated in temporary accommodation and provided with food.

A massive attack by Ukrainian drones in the Kursk region became known in the early morning of April 15. As a result of the strikes, several houses caught fire, an 85-year-old woman was also killed, and nine civilians were injured. The fire damaged two multi-storey buildings and three private households. One of the shells hit the ambulance garage, as a result, 11 official vehicles were damaged.

A criminal case on a terrorist act was opened on the fact of a massive attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on residential buildings in Kursk (paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
